Michael Tanner
Michael Tanner is a musician and sound artist, based in Dorset, who has produced a series of sound pieces inspired by Susan Cooper’s The Dark is Rising series and other Arthurian literature. Tanner’s collection of sound pieces, Plinth, explore Celtic beliefs, myths and legends and their relationship with contemporary Cornwall.
There are many legends set around the South Cornwall coastline, including Tristan and Iseult, the legend of Lyonesse and the fall of King Arthur. Michael Tanner’s sound pieces immerse the listener in the atmosphere of these ancient stories.
